Just like the previous ‘Vice Academy’ Part 2, the AVC encoded image is sharp and bright since it was derived from an elementary scan of the 35 mm camera negative. The colors are stupendous as the pinks and reds are deep and vivid, albeit the Bambuco has a distinct gray appearance. The other aspects including details, lighting, sets, and sculpture are all equally clear and permit examination of the police station and strip club. The skin tones are natural, the interiors sprout different tones, and the makeup crafted into the faces of the sculptures with detail. The outline of everything is strong and the film grain is soft, so there is a subtle amount of wear and tear to the source.
The scoring cues within the 2.0 DTS-HD MA are loud and striking which surrenders the threat of overpowering dialogue exchanges, but from the distance they sound fresh, broad, and powerful. The electronic voice from Bambuco has not been altered, thus makes the performance satisfying as it provides definition towards the comedic mask used. The effects on the other hand are sharp, bold, and spot on while the gunfire and destruction world shatter. The sound atmosphere easily synthesizes.
This new portrayal still utilizes a sole characteristic from the original, as it opens with the worries Ginger Lynn had with the first movie coming across too mild.
And overall, the film remains for the most part true to itself. This particular storyline does not consist of sabotaging an underground pornography ring, or anything synch (believe it or not, the storyline is much worse), but Linnea Quigley and Ginger Lynn get to go under cover as strippers at the very end of the movie so you know you’re in for a decently halfway good time there.
There is some what I would refer to as in-theory laughter. These are scenes that at best, are rather humorous on the surface or wittily written, at the very least. However, the way they are enacted is completely poor.
I think mainly of when the two leads are working as dispatchers, and the lady who taught them how to do it essentially just spends her time not much more than a phone sex operator. So when the two girls get a call from “Big Nightstick,” they play along, thinking.
But of course, Big Nightstick is the codename for a cop on the force, and he’s being shot and beaten while this goes on. In theory, it’s sort of comical. But the execution is so remarkably embarrassing that it completely misses the point.
But if nothing else this movie gives Ginger Lynn something productive to do, which the first movie didn’t.
It lacks the humor present in Karen Russell and that male companion who was with Russell and Linnea in the previous film, but makes up for it with a little more sensuality.
It is terrible. Maybe even dreadful that is pleasurable in a dirty sort of way.
