Joey, a punk rock musician bet his girlfriend Eva that if she proved she truly knew how to read tarot cards and conduct séances, he would quit his band for a year and join a church choir. If he wins, however, she would spend the next year opening his show by dancing in a bikini. Their friend Marcus, who works as a security at a morgue, lets them sneak in as the staff goes away on weekends. They are further joined by Sara, a girl who is very invested in Christianity. And so begins Seance The Summoning.
From the very first minute of episode 1, I am super irritated by these four people simply because they are very unlikeable and have some of the most cringy dialogues ever. First off, Joey is an asshole and Sara is plain obnoxious, and Marcus is particularly annoying with his fake gang-joker personality. Eva isn’t all magnolias and lavender either, but when compared to the others, especially Joey, she at one point seems to be the most sane person in the room. I am sorry to say but the prick Joey makes it cruelly clear way too late that he is sensitive to woo-woo stuff so he does get possessed and that is when the fun begins.
Exercise meets us with possessed Joey, who in the movie, is trying to assault the other people on the plane. If this is what you would want to look forward to as ‘fun’ just don’t watch the movie. You are guaranteed to come out unhappy and disgusted. There are a few ideas I could appreciate such as exorcism, but because there is no budget at all, I guess they were just trying their best to execute their ideas.
Look on the bright side Joey tries to rip off his shirt and at the end, Bobby wears low-dip pants which insinuate he is not wearing any underwear. This vision makes the whole movie worthy, but something deep down tells me you are better off looking at him while scrolling Instagram than watching the movie itself.
