What Are You Planning To Watch Over The Summer Holidays?

As you are planning your summer trips, what family leisure activities do you need to check on?

For those who seek a film with an emotional and intelligently insightful message, The Firing Squad will surely do!

The Firing Squad a domestic drama that is set to be released across around 2500 cinemas in the US on August 2, 2024, is based on TRUE events that took place in 2015. The film has great stars James Barrington, Kevin Sorbo, and Cuba Gooding, Jr., and an attention-grabbing phrase “They faced death and chose life.”

As I thought that this was the right movie to recommend to her husband, I requested him to write a review for all of us. I have no doubt that the readers who have enjoyed Roy’s posts in the past will appreciate his ideas regarding the forthcoming movie premiere and its impact on him.

As I sit at my desk in my office getting ready to write a piece about The Firing Squad, there is nothing going on and only the sounds of the scenes of devotion to the cause remain with me.

As far as plot summaries go, The Firing Squad goes along the lines of drug killers, some of whom are recently christened converts, executed by the Indonesian government. They could almost call it a plot. This goes a notch deeper, as I explain later, I would say that it is so much more than that.

The first thing that stuck out while watching this movie was that God does not show favoritism. He had people that He chooses, other them thrust through the Holy Spirit to repent of their sins and then believe in His Son for salvation. It is here that this content succeeds. When Paul writes to the church of Corinth, he mentions a good number of two sins, two sins that are almost condemned by the vast majority of the world’s society. But what he says next goes as follows:

From these statements, it becomes clear to whom Paul is speaking: Christians and what they were historically versus the image God has created them to be.

Reality does not forget to make appearances even to these men in the movie who profess faith. The Gestapo of the prison regards such characters as trash, expendable, and forgotten by their pianissimos, definitely not a keeper; these all are people of God. He is the one that saves these unsaved sons yet even though their punishment for earthly deeds is life-long they still are protected in Christ and there is peace within that human being that can never be comprehended.

As the movie shares its core, the greatest touch of hope and grace that comes through Jesus Christ, it certainly rises high above the clouds. There’s much honor in acting even though I’m not perfect. Therefore, I’m thankful for this and for the work of His Son in the movie.

For those who admire purpose movies in which Jesus Christ is exalted, his redemptive ministry is showcased and many lives are changed out of The Firing Squad. Engage an unsaved person. Interact and plead with them for the time of the movie is emphasized, we shall all die one day and on that day, we know our destiny.

As the audience watches The Firing Squad, the creators of the movie hope that God will work in the hearts of one million souls. This is our prayer as well. Try not to go alone. If possible, take someone who needs Christ with you. Use your social networks to talk about it. May God protect you, your family, and your friends as The Firing Squad is watched.
