In the previous sections of the movie, we saw how Annie Dotson (Parker McKenna Posey), who was employed as Dr. Raven Fields’s (Erica Mena) assistant in the series “The Assistant”, sought to destroy everything she loved. The question becomes, however, did Annie die after that film? There is always the possibility that the baby Annie was pregnant with was actually Hannah’s sister, who was thought to have died but was rescued by a nurse and resurrected. She was raised without ever knowing that she had a sister.
No, revise. Heather Raven Parrish (drumroll Parker M). So now she’s focusing on the murder of her twin sister Tiyana (Erica Hubbard), who appears to be married to Mark. Given that the children need a nanny, our villain decides to pursue a career in childcare management, and I suppose she’s an assistant because that is the title of this film.
In such a movie, the adopted ones resent the biological ones, with the only interest being the spending of the father’s American Express card. The last film is also called ‘The Assistant Massacre’, and we have a brief shot of Raven being rescued once again, but her mom tries to convince the audience of how she managed to get that baby away from the hospital. She states, ‘Your mum had multiple personalities. She was a Schizophrenic. And a Bipolar too’ Wow, these things are amazing. Mom passes Raven a dossier containing all the requisite data. I’m thinking, how did they even acquire this dead child a social security number?
Like in the previous movie, she longs for Annie as her twin sister. She therefore refrains from taking her pills and envisions her twin as a spirit. And naturally, she devises a scheme wherein she turns Tiyana against everybody, her husband, his ex, now best friend Savanna, and everybody, just so that she can get the babies and fulfill the life she’s always dreamed of. So Raven has turned into a geeky Donna who’s out to assist in the combat going on in the house and who’s also looking to engage in incredible brawls throughout the ass-durn.
Frankly speaking, these are the best fight scenes ever captured on camera by director Chris Stokes and put the icing on the cake when it comes to the end of this film.
This is also the most self-referential one because Mark is employed as a film executive in Tubi. To this, Raven replies: ‘What? I love Tubi. Can never get enough of these Stepmothers.”
The way this concludes, one more film is required. The only better thing about that point in time of saying that Tubi is a part of this wacky universe is that we are now closer to Stokes unveiling his cinematic universe for an Avenger: Endgame on Tubi launching.
