Ridley Scott’s Prometheus fan trailer Marvel Studios is an astounding science fiction film that is even more interesting because it raises the question of how humans came into being and is unable to provide an answer. The film is set in the classic period of golden age sci-fi, harking back to Scott s Alien released in 1979 but simultaneously building a universe of its own. This is the kind of material that makes me weak; the film is a perfect cocktail of plot, endless 3D special effects and ideal performers, shot in a reasonable 3D that is effective, but not distracting.
At the very beginning, it features a strange world that only contains one animal, a pale humanoid creature that is eating something. This pale creature appears to be and is said to have lived in a gorgeous resort, a place where they could have possibly enjoyed their existence. As the tummy aches reach its peak, the pale individual seems to spit something out which later turns out to be vomit. This vomit follows the water flow and then transforms itself into what is believed to be living cellular structures. What this bear witness to, is it earth? And there are several questions that need to be addressed – Who is this being? Why is this being naked and all by itself? And, Why would the naked being sup nature, populated earth with Vomit? And Where is this place? Is there any validity to the idea that life evolved indoors from elsewhere outside the world as this throwback suggests?
The article then moves on to describe a human spaceship traveling across in the year 2093, and the set of flashes it contains spanning into an astonishing amount of years in the movie “Prometheus” believing the movie is set: billions of years into the future. The ship “Prometheus” seems to have upwards of trillion dollars invested as of today and is headed towards a world located to the beginning of a prehistoric cave painting. The theory that the other side where the painting where human quite Probably began to life- is indeed not far fetched. A giant planet does seem to have a Earth sized moon in orbit around it, however in the beginning it does feel like a budding atmosphere with no oxygen: the type that you would not want to breath in. Amma Sity’s heart started racing. There are harsh growing pains and then hafiifest h the narrowly blistering stream. But the team members see straight marks on the earth’s crust, and this is the only time I have heard selmer say that nature was unable to revolution.
The story of the movie will happen mostly inside some kind of a dome and also the Prometheus with some lines that lead into some vast pyramid or dome. Now, let’s hold the plot for a second and discuss two crew members onboard the Prometheus. The first one, Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace) is quite intriguing as she always wears a cross which starts from her thinking that everything started from a godly being and life is not just something random. As for her boyfriend, Charlie Holloway (Logan Marshall-Green), he calls Shaw a scientist who is quite a hypocrite for ignoring Darwinism that has lasted for centuries. What they discover in the pyramid is another question to answer. Hibernating human-like aliens possess incredibly closely matched DNA to us. So they maybe had the means to start life on Earth, but for what reason then? And to this moon where they are kept in slumber at the center of the pyramid, or from some other moon at a far away star. What resulted in them hanging here? And what are they expecting to happen?
Later in the film its horror aspects become more pronounced with sequences similar to those in “Alien”, but more action based and with more gunplay as opposed to an abundance of shadows and silence. As for me, the most exciting moments are the crew’s exploration of the inside passages and the cavern of the pyramid which throughout history went untouched and their interactions with some of the alien beings that were in hibernation.
The android David (Michael Fassbender) is an essential crew member for the crew. HAL 9000 David is able to do almost anything, such as Guerrero alien languages and verbally communicate, and thoroughly fearless.
The aliens in “Prometheus” seem to possess a peculiar aspect that I recall from the movie “Alien,” as well as many others: Components of their bodies can be released and assimilated into other organisms as aggressive parasites. This results in a most spectacular scene where Elizabeth finds out she is expecting an alien Something while sitting alone on the spaceship and going to the extent of controlling a robot surgical device to extract it instead. The latter confrontation with a dwindling oxygen level exhibits similar resourcefulness; Noomi Rapace (“The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo,” 2009) continues here the tradition of awesome feminine strength begun by Sigourney Weaver in “Alien.” There’s more blue humor as the women aboard the ship grope Sigourney’s android after she breaks her finger.
Meredith Vickers (Charlize Theron), one of the corporate representatives that sponsored the Prometheus mired the rest of the crew as if they were her staff and from her account, they are and it appears as if she has to let everyone know what she believes to be the wishes of the corporation. The commander of the ship, Janek (Idris Elba) unlike the rest does not indulge in making pretenses that he is a man of science, he is an oppositely tempered regular working navigator of the airplane. Janek has the most interesting evolution, from the irreverent hipster in his first scenes to a man capable of seeing what cannot be seen and knowing what cannot be known.
It is so provocative as to how these DNA twins are portrayed did they come to life on Earth? The idea that two identical DNAs could just happen is absurd. Charlie wrestles with Elizabeth, claiming what their existence proves is a ruin of her book of beliefs, Barbara’s outburst is standing out: from where did they emerge? This riddle is thrown into an adventure movie that has great graphics, well-paralleled horror themes, thought-provoking issues and more than enough questions to prepare the ground for a sequel.
