Today we’re going to take a look at the infamous cowboy beauty love stuff love songs. For the most part, these songs do not make any sense at all, let’s try to figure out why these songs have such disastrous stories. Roy Rogers and Dale Evans had a so-called relationship which literally drove us to blow the tank of a speeding car, brace ourselves for it to blow up, and then stomp on top of it while it tries to explode just let that man or even glance at the poor woman let alone touch her. Why do people get so riled up when there are so many adventures to go on, posses have to be formed and so many miles as well as the ride before sunset to deal with? It is infuriating.

As children camping out in the wilderness, the songs that were sung left a lot to be desired which upset me quite a bit. Personally, I tolerate songs near en bonfires and did have uneasiness and discomfort around the song “Cool Water” from the Sons of The Pioneers, Pat Buttram, song was synonymous to torment for me, Rex Allen on the other hand loved spinning his love tales with ranch sow, remembered old Rex for his songs but did help around the camp.

This is what I’m getting at. It would serve no purpose for me to review “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” from an adult perspective as most adults are not going to go and see it voluntarily. The audience for “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang,” as the title suggests, is children, along with all their parents, uncles, aunts, grandparents, and older siblings who might be forced to watch it with them.

So what is it that the children want to watch? A children’s movie! And what do the other people in the cinema, that is the grown-ups, I mean, want to watch? They want to watch a children’s movie as well, I believe. Or at least they are not in the market for another children’s movie that has a so-called “adult scene” every so often.

Well, I, Chitty Chitty Bang have two of the best children’s movies that you can wish to have. They feature an amusing flamboyant old grandpa, some funny dances, an overacting Baron, and a great deal of adventure. Along with a marvellous magic car and a couple of scenes that will make young ones cover their eyes and peek between their fingers because it’s so terrifying.

But the problem is, those two hours of enjoyment are cushioned by around two 45 minutes of bland love songs, sappy ballads, and other emotional overkill. This was, apparently, designed for the oldies. At least, I didn’t see any children who seemed interested. What everyone liked was how Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (that is the name of the car) was able to float and fly, and how Grandpa (Lionel Jeffries in a marvellous performance) got lifted up into the sky by mean Baron Bomburst’s balloon (which was hilariously controlled by Gert Frobe as the baron).

But let me add, to be blunt, that Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is much better than Dr. Dolittle from last year, which had more mush than you could wade through. It has more colour, moves quicker and has far more believable children who from time to time even have soiled faces. Best of all, there are plenty of fabulously intricate inventions and gadgets that you can actually see work!
