This is Cyber Town, a location filled with enfys trying to evade the consequences of their actions and seeking attention, search the topic at hand, no matter how trivial it is. Why all the internet hate? This is syfy, the best I have seen all week, because again I need to remember, we are dealing with someone who likes the stubborn american irrelevantly hodge-podge concoctions of Eastwood flicks, Predator, and of course the proverbial shout out to:start wars dont get me started, and you get to see it first hand on a cutting room first draft footage of a students second year film endeavor. Wow. The first couple mins are a free ticket to stick it frrom dunghills cut smith and i do mean stills. I, over here alien showdown, buckles in to a campish design style which, may or may not be for makings bare minimal ok, scratch that, grasping the very essence of enjoyable, lemme toss the gauntlet here and i do believe. So, mark my words, this truely is a terrible idea. First, in my personal point of view, it rests half way across the fence and finally something I like, Cyber Town truly is an impressing show case. So I toss this idea and this frighteneing image, I have absolutely no recollection of the opening sequence which only resembles a scuffed up mix of shenanigans like footage.
As the film progresses, take note of the apprehension of the accent thickened assailant named Reinhard, who had been on a spree and was wanted for stealing a holy relic from the church. It is 1869, and a group of men try to capture the outlaw and bring him to justice for the tendered reward of 10,000 dollars. However, the cowboyes are interuppted during an attempt to capture the outlaw due to a large scale alien attack. During the severed attacks from the aggressive alien, along with the outlaw barely escaping, a foreign alien gets stumbled upon by him. While resembling the dying Yoda, this peculiar being uses its remaining telekinetic strength to highlight the struggles that mankind and Earth would face if the other monster were to survive.
This develops the hunted/hideandseek game between Reinhard, the creature, and the surviving cowboys who are indeed trying to capture the target. The narrative then shifts towards modern-day when a scientist who has recently been fired from work is receiving an interview at a government facility. The setting is still a bit outlandish and the specifics lacking but Dr. Marina is keen on a position. Unknown to her is the fact that, apart from an alien technology, a 145-year-old body and a diary are necessary for the task. From here on through out the rest of the picture, the timeline keeps switching back-and-forth.
All kinds of cinema is produced out there and as the conversation changes towards independent cinema, films like Alien Showdown are ignored and overshadowed by the more prominent art-house ones. Some of these claims hold ground, but in such cases they are rather indignant of how impressive independent sci-fi cinema can be. Alien Showdown has a kickass soundtrack, created by Risto R Muzik. Alien Showdown is one of those films that are quite fast-paced with plenty of action and great looking scenes.
