The plot of certain motion pictures can be so mundane that the story loses its appeal. This film is not one of them. On the contrary, the fact that the audience knows almost exactly what is going to unfold on the screen after each scene is in a peculiar way interesting. Am I able to make it? Yes! Relieved! Perhaps this altered my perception since it is not each and every day that I see Roma Downey play such roles. Yet again, this is not conventionally the role Downey portrays. Once I put aside my preconceived notions of how she played an angel, she really did seem to fit the role. It was fantastic to experience her transformation to a character with whom she needs to put more effort into portraying. Quite the asset: the kids from the home seemed to get along very well. They are young, but I guess that these young actors were really concerned for those around them, just as their roles demanded. This is not a film with much depth where one can sink their teeth into. It is rather a touchy-feely work of fiction meant to soothe one’s soul on a chilly December evening. There is just enough holiday spirit and romance to make it enjoyable, just the right amount to make it cosy.
Incredible Amusing Romantic Comedy Christmas Movie (26 August 2002 by sundaynightpopcorn I loved this Movie! It was beautiful and warm hearted having a great deal of humour. Fantastic family holiday movie! The boys are especially great, but the acting is top-notch. If you get a chance, watch it. It is a must for any romantic comedy fan. George Newbern was a treat to look at as the head of a Boy’s Home, and Roma Downey looked fabulous in her blonde hair. One of the Best Looking Couples I’ve Seen! Sons of the Mistletoe is The Best ‘made for TV’ Holiday Program!
If you have yet to watch it, then be sure to do so when it comes on TV because I believe you will like it. A feel-good movie as it depicts a small town where there are some good people who bring out the best in each other. Just makes you smile after viewing it.
Kids’ Movie (December 23, 2001, by srmccarthy Christmas season is upon and it is time for wholesome celebration, so here we have a cute little movie which may not be particularly worthwhile but still perfect for this particular season. It even has romance in it. Lovely, isn’t it!! Surely you have not forgotten about that.
The holiday season is a special time of the year that evokes emotion and nostalgia from within. Many people watch these movies as a part of an academic exercise, and these have been commercial-free, quality movies that easily earn enjoyment points.
